Hamburg Port Community to provide its members with access to the global sailing schedules and vessel data from the world’s leading data provider.
Burlingame, CA – June 14, 2012
Linescape, the leading provider of global sailing schedules and vessel data for containerships, and DAKOSY AG, the port community system for the Port of Hamburg, have announced a cooperation whereby DAKOSY will provide its members with access to Linescape’s vast database of sailing schedules.
In addition to the existing “Hamburg ship departure list” DAKOSY can now also offer all interested customers current and up-to-date sailing schedules of 8 million voyages from over 120 container carriers, with more than 9,000 ships and through 3,000 ports worldwide. This offer is based on a new initiative between DAKOSY and Linescape, announced today at the “transfairlog” exhibition in Hamburg, Germany.
“Our cooperation with Linescape brings many advantages to our customers“, confirmed Dieter Spark, Member of the Board of DAKOSY. “Customers can save much time and effort in transport planning when they have a comprehensive overview of ship schedules directly integrated into order processing. This avoids searching by external tools, where data must be collected manually, and thereby avoids data entry errors.” Also, the CEO and founder of Linescape, David Tarizzo, sees great benefits through their cooperation: “With DAKOSY, the port community system for the port of Hamburg, we have found a strong partner in Germany who can integrate our solution quickly and easily into the local and international freight forwarding market.”
