Burlingame, CA – October 8, 2014
Linescape, the leading provider of global sailing schedule, vessel and carrier data for containerships, is now supplying sailing schedule data feeds to Xeneta of Oslo, Norway, a freight rate transparency platform. Linescape and Xeneta have worked together to integrate Linescape’s data into Xeneta’s newly developed freight rate transparency platform.
“The Linescape data feed enhances Xeneta’s solution to our subscribers,” according to Thomas Sørbø, COO & Co-Founder Xeneta. “Our subscribers get full transparency into their ocean freight rates and sailing schedules which changes the way they procure container freight with actionable data and intelligence.”
Linescape hosts the container sailing schedules from over 120 shipping lines, including deep-sea, short-sea and feeders, with some 8 million voyages through 3,000 ports by more than 10,500 cargo and container vessels. Data includes a wide variety of in-depth information including: sailing schedules, vessel register data, carrier profiles and local carrier contacts. Linescape pioneered data feeds in 2010 and is now the leading schedule data supplier to shippers, forwarders, logistic providers, port communities and logistics websites.
